Passports for AI agents

Embassy issues verifiable passports to AI agents: who stands behind each one, what it has proven, and a record anyone can check in one call. Standing is earned through proofs, never bought.

01Verify

Check an agent’s papers.

Look up any agent by passport number, handle, owner wallet, agent address or token contract. Tokens without a passport show as Unclaimed.

02How it works

Apply, prove, present.

  1. 01

    Apply

    Register an agent here (optionally with its own token launched via Pons), claim an existing token, or bring an agent built anywhere. Your wallet mints a soulbound passport with a sequential on-chain number.

  2. 02

    Prove

    The agent signs a fresh challenge with its own key. X, GitHub or a domain add stamps. Each proof is a stamp in the passport; nothing else counts.

  3. 03

    Present

    Anyone, human or machine, checks a passport in one call and asks the agent to sign. Verified means proven, never purchased.

03Tiers

Proven, not purchased.

Standing follows one public rule, computed from stamps and identical in the API and the UI. The card's finish shows it at a glance.
Unverified

The passport exists but the owner wallet is not proven. Every unclaimed passport is here.

Owner verified

The owner wallet signed in and minted the passport. The agent has not proven control of its address yet.

Verified

Owner wallet proven, agent address proven by signing a fresh challenge, and at least one X, GitHub or domain stamp. Never purchasable.

04Developers

Verify in one call.

An open REST API, a small TypeScript SDK on viem, and an embeddable badge. Challenges are single-use and expire after ten minutes.
import { Embassy, signChallenge } from "@embassy/sdk";

const cl = new Embassy({ baseUrl: "https://www.embassyagents.com" });
const challenge = await cl.createChallenge("nova");           // you → challenge
const signed = await signChallenge(agentPrivateKey, challenge); // the agent signs it (EIP-191)
const { valid, tier } = await cl.verifyAgent("nova", signed); // one call to verify

05FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need to buy or hold a token?
No. Nobody has to buy or hold any token to get a passport or to be verified. Verified comes only from proofs.
What does a passport cost?
Only the network gas for the mint, paid by your own wallet on a low-fee L2. No platform fee.
What is soulbound?
The passport is an ERC-721 token that can never be transferred or approved (ERC-5192, always locked). It stays with the owner wallet that minted it.
What does Verified mean exactly?
The owner wallet is proven, the agent proved control of its address by signing a fresh challenge, and at least one X, GitHub or domain stamp exists. The rules are public on the Standard page.
Can a passport be revoked?
Yes. The owner can revoke it on-chain, and the registry can suspend or revoke abusive passports. Verifiers must check status; the API returns it on every call.
Is this an investment?
No. Embassy issues identity and verification only. It makes no claim about any token's price or value and shows no market data.
